Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir

Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir was in the band since 2010, born on May 6, 1989.Nanna is an Icelandic musician and is one of the lead localist and guitarist for Of Monsters and Men. Nanna was raisd in Garður, a town in soouthern Iceland. As a youth, Nanna attended music school. Before of Monsters and Men was established, Nanna had a solo musical project called Songbird and was a video store clerk. Since expanding her Songbird phase, Nanna recruited five male musicians (Ragnar Þórhallsson, Brynjar Leifsson, Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, and Árni Guðjónsson) that eventually became Of Monsters and Men in 2010. After a week of working together, they won the annual music competition Músíktilraunir. They released three singles called "Little Talks", "Mountain Sound" and "King and Lionheart" and music videos for each. The videos have several million views on YouTube, the one for "Little Talks" having the most views.


Ragnar Þórhallsson

Ragnar Þórhallsson was born on March 6, 1987. Ragnar is an Icelandic musician and is another one of the lead localists and guitarists for Of Monsters and Men. Ragnar attended Fjölbrautaskólinn í Garðabæ, a school in Garðabær. Ragnar got his first guitar at the age of 9 but did not start playing until 17. Ragnar joined the band in 2010. The band then entered the 2010 annual Icelandic music competition Músíktilraunir, which they won. They soon released their debut studio album My Head Is an Animal in late 2011. The album charted in multiple regions and the band gained popularity worldwide. After a successful first album, the band released their second studio album Beneath the Skin in 2015. Ragnar also came up with the band name, Of Monsters and Men. He plays the guitar left-handed.


Brynjar Leifsson

Brynjar Leifsson was bron on September 11, 1990. He is an Icelandic musician and is best known as the lead guitarist for Of Monsters and Men. Brynjar was raised in Keflavík, a town in southwest Iceland. He has been taking flying lessons the last few years with his brother who is a pilot.Brynjar joined Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir's solo project, Songbird in 2009. The project soon expanded with Ragnar and Arnar joining. The band then entered the 2010 annual Icelandic music competition Músíktilraunir, which they won. Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir was born on January 5, 1989.Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir is an Icelandic musical artist and has been a member of the Indie Folk-Pop music group Of Monsters and Men since 2010. Ragnhildur plays the trumpet for Of Monsters and Men.


Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson

Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson is an Icelandic musical artist. Arnar has been a member of the Indie Folk-Pop music group Of Monsters and Men since 2010. Arnar plays the drums for Of Monsters and Men.


Kristján Páll Kristjánsson
